I am 17, now and I need to start establishing some kind of credit so I can get a car or even a loan, can someone help me?How can I establish credit before I am 18 without my parents?
Unless an adult co-signs the loan you are unable to get a credit card.
Why won't your parents co-sign? Why woud a potential creditor give you credit if your own parents don't trust you to pay it.How can I establish credit before I am 18 without my parents?
Sorry but credit card company can not hold you legally responsible for any debt that you may incur, therefore you must be 18 I.m so sorry.
You can but do not do it. You will screw up your life in the long run.

get credit cards from department stores, buy small things and pay off the cards.
a minor cannot enter into a legal binding contract until the age of 18. when you turn 18, i'm sure the credit card offers will be rolling in. as fo a car loan, hopefully you have a bank of your own so when you find a car, go and talk with a loan officer. more than likely, you will need a co-signer but you could easily refinance after a year as long as you paid on time. good luck
Yes, don't borrow money.
Start saving money instead of going into debt. You can pay cash for your car.
Search Yahoo Answers and you'll find a lot of people deep into debt because they've borrowed money. Many people live beyond their means (spend more than they make) and get into serious trouble.
You have a chance (because you're young) to avoid this pain in your future.
Scott.....
Open a checking and a savings account. Keep money in both and never write a check with out the money to cover it.
After you turn 18 apply for a credit card that you have to prepay. Put $500.00 on it use it and put the balance back in every month.
That way you can establish credit without going into debt.
Advise time: Paying interest is the last thing an 18 year old or anyone else needs to do, Earn it don't pay it.
As previous posters have indicated you cannot enter into a legally binding contract until the age of 18. You may be able to have a parent co-sign a loan with you, however, that will vary depending on who the loan is with.
The best advice was from the fellow that suggested you save money and pay cash. Credit can be a very bad thing unless used with the utmost care. Good Luck!
You can't enter a binding contract until you're unless you are legally emancipated from your parents.
