How do you have fun in college while living with your parents?

I will be starting real college in the fall (I'm already in community college, but this fall I transfer to a university where there's parties and dorms and typical college stuff), and I, unfortunately, will have to live with my mom for the remaining two years. Any tips on how I can still get the college experience while living with my mom?How do you have fun in college while living with your parents?
Yea, you won't have fun if you live with your parents. You can't invite friends over and get really really drunk. You can't bring a girl home for the night without some sort of hell breaking loose. You can't come home drunk with your parents worrying about you all the time and wondering when you'll be coming home...it's a mess and I wouldn't recommend it at all.How do you have fun in college while living with your parents?
well what I suggest is that you meet a great new friend who lives on campus and has a dorm room. Then you can crash with him/ her and party and then you can go home when you want/ when he/she kicks you out. If you have a close friend with a dorm then all your problems are solved. You can't live there then make the best experience you can for yourself.





Although you will have to live under your mom's rules she will have to understand you an adult who needs a life of your own. If she ever goes out your house could be the off campus ';party house'; ha ha but college is not just about fun although a majority of it is. Make best friends with someone is what I suggest!

You can always visit your friends' dorms or go to friend's houses that commute as well, living at your friends' houses most of the time will give you more freedom, while still having the support of your parents.





You can still participate in parties and events just make sure your parents dont get overprotective and give you the freedom to stay out late and do as you wish.





Try graduate school if you want to live by yourself...
if you have some friends that live on or off campus without their parents, spend some weekends with them!! you can get plenty of the college experience doing this. you're really getting the best of both worlds that way..you have the structure of being at home and can focus on your school work but can have fun on the weekends.
tell her your staying at the library to study or over in a friends dorm and stuff and go to parties! And you'll see flyers and stuff for clubs, go to them the people from campus will be there.
