Legally how can a parent kick an adult child out of their house?

Do parents have to act as landlords and get an eviction notice?

Do they do this after giving the child 30 days to move out?Legally how can a parent kick an adult child out of their house?

Ok. Dont listen to sexpert. The point of having them out of your house is so you dont have to pay for them and take care of them anymore. Why would you set them up in an apt? They are grown and should have jobs. Tell them they have enough time to find a place and get there stuff out. If you want to

make it faster help them look. You probably know what to look for better than they do.

You can kick them out the second they are 18 BUT if the kid knows the laws you can't. Evictions only work with a lease or rental agreement in the mix. But hey they are 18 and think they know it all but really don't so fil lout an eviction form and tell them your going to file. If that doesn't work give them a 3 day notice. The best way is to set up an apartment for them and pay at least 3 months with the promise after 3 months the rent paying is over. Once you get them out of the house then they legally can't come back.
Your parents are not your landlord. It's their home and they can ask you to pack your bags and leave without any notice or with a notice if they want to and if you don't oblige them they can call the law to assist in helping you move out should that be necessary.
Unless the adult child signed a lease or rental agreement, they have no legal right to stay if they are told to leave. All the parent has to do is tell them to leave and if the adult child doesn't, the parents have all the the law on their side.
As far as I know you have to be 18 or older for that to be legal. They would have to give you a 30 day notice if you were renting from them and had signed a rental agreement.
No eviction notice is necessary.
It is the parents home and they can have ANYONE removed that they don't want there, whether they are children or not.
