What dish from your parents did you always looked forward to?

For me it was always Rice with Black Beans Plantains with either Roast Pork or Pork Chops. Have a goodnight everyone. What dish from your parents did you always looked forward to?
Pork roast that my mom made stuffed with garlic and slow cooked in a browning bag. The best!!! It melts in your mouth almost.

And seafood gumbo that my mamaw made, I carried on that tradition but it's just not the same..............mamaw use to make the best platter of chicken livers with gravy and mashed potatoes. Oh and she made mackerel patties out of this world ..I miss her so much. What dish from your parents did you always looked forward to?
ooh, my whole family (except me =/) can cook, so I'm going to do dishes from all of them:

mom: fried green tomatoes, fried chicken, collard greens, sweet potato pie. Well, pretty much everything my mom cooks is really good!

my dad: I used to love when he made steaks on the grill. He also made good spaghetti.

grandma: meatloaf and mashed potatoes!!!!! Also, bbq chicken

brother: grilled teriyaki chicken strips

oh, Goodnight!! *hugs*
My Mom's cooking was great and her Marinara Sauce always brought me to the table, even during my time when I wasn't eating. My Dad did great grilled fish, caught fresh...........in the summer time from the lake. You have a good night too and thanks for making me think of these fond memories!
ooo tuna casserole! actually it was more of a tuna-pasta-salad... spirals with tuna and chopped up raw veggies with mayo dressing... I still love it!
