How can I convince my parents to let me get contacts?

I'm near sided, and I'm always embarressed when I wear my glasses to see the board. Trust me, I look really ugly in glasses. I have to admit it. I really want contacts and they said it will hurt my eyes and I'm too young.How can I convince my parents to let me get contacts?

If your glasses bother you that much, get glasses that look less ugly on you.

I was going to tell you how you could convince them until I saw you wrote Im always embarrassed I look really ugly in glasses......I think the only reason you want contacts is because you care about what other people say about you.I think getting glasses will be a good life experience for you.This will teach you how to accept you and always love yourself to the fullest with or without glasses.You need glasses point blank! you have to put on those glasses,stop looking at the glass half empty instead of half full and know that you are Beautiful no matter what.Im not going to lie your going to have people that laugh and some that don't its called life.and in life you learn who are your true friends and who not.
