How much does your parents understand you?

I guessed many people would think that parents are a burden. I do not mean all people though. For those whom think so, why do you think so? And for those who disagree, how do you look at them in a positive manner.How much does your parents understand you?

They understand me completely. They have helped me thru many problems. N let me tell u, a teen n a pre-teen have a lot of problems. They have shown me a great way to live a life. They trust me completely n I trust them completely. IF they say, ';don't do this'; they tell me a reason n if it is valid enough, I listen. If it is no reason at all, I argue back. They listen.





Its not that they are perfect. No one is perfect. They expect good grades from me n..... other things. But I know why so I try to be a good daughter.





I know some teens who think parents are a burden. Its mainly because there is a big misunderstanding or the teen is not yet mature enough to understand all of life's little complication. Teens should listen to their parents for their own benifits. Or than, the world laughts at them.

my mother and I never got along and even now she's is usually a total b*tch and I hate to be around her but that's because she is bipolar. I always had a close relationship with my dad because he knew how nuts my mom was and he always supported me when I needed someone to talk to or made a choice my mom wasn't happy with. Things are better now that I'm older. Such as tonight. My dad, my husband and I went to see KoRn and Mudvayne play at the Mohegan Sun Arena, my mom came along to gamble in the casino and before the show my dad, husband, and I sat around and drank. Even though I was highly buzzed my mom was totally cool and we walked around talking for almost an hour while the guys gambled. (I am not allowed on the gaming floor because I am 20, not 21.) I defintely get along with my parents now that I am an adult.
My parents do not understand me at all! We are not exactly on good terms. We speak, but usually it is as if strangers were thrown in a room together and told to make small talk! not really very pleasant!
Try to remember the patience they showed you and it was your parents that cleaned your dirty backside and wiped your runny nose. We all have to look in the mirror sometime, do you like who looks back? I love my Mom dearly.

I don't think my parents are a burden at all.


Actually, I think the opposite is true. My mom is my best friend. She always supports me and is always there for me when I need her. She has given me everything I have (life, a home, wonderful memories, my stunning good looks :) ).


She is the only person in the world that truly understands me and that loves me unconditionally. I couldn't ask for more than that. I always think of all of the things she gave me as a child and all of the things she sacrificed for me and I just hope that one day I am able to repay her for all that she has done and continues to do for me.
