How to make my parents agree to buy a cat?

I love cats very very very much!!!!! I've been always dreaming to have a cat! but my parents don't want to! they say it would bring us only problems! How to make my parents agree to buy a cat?
only expensive as a kitten un less your parents are the type of people (like me) who believe if i eat well and take care of myself when it ocme stoo food and such only the best for my cat and dog. if your parents say no, it is because they have their reasons you have to understand although some cats may like being in the car most dont so you wont want to and it wont want to travel with you when u go on vacation, yes some cats can be left for a couple days........but some will leave you presents for you to come home too or after you come home because they are mad. they require more attention then a teenager can give. you will be out with friends going to school and you may even work, and with the busy life style of a teen you may forget to feed or clean its litter box or clean up the hair or pay enuogh attention to it. and who would end up doing it your parents. and they would have to teach to not claw at furnitre and such because it has to be someone who is home alot. How to make my parents agree to buy a cat?
get a kitten and train it .my parents are letting me start looking at kittens and buy one in six weeks.sorry i can't really help you there.
Yes, there are ';problems'; in having a cat. You have vet expenses, have to buy food, clean dishes and litterboxes. Cat owners don't see these things as problems.

Any companion animal needs to be wanted by the whole family. It's not fair to have a cat when people in the house are annoyed with it and don't give it any love or affection.

You may have to wait until you are older and have your own residence and can affort to care for an animal on your own.
these are the things that convinced my parents to get 1 cat but then they picked out 3 more.

1.Stay up in your room all the time

2.Don't eat

3.Don't talk

4.Don't do much around the house until they get you your cat.

5.When they ask you what is wrong tell them that you don't want to talk about it

6.Usually when you do all of those things they ask you what you want to do

7.Tell them that you want to go the the pet store

8.Ask the pet store person if you can get a cat out

9.Let your parents hold it

10.They should fall in love with the cat and then they should ask the pet store person how much it is and some info on it and they they should get it,if they don't you should march right out of the house and stay in your room and stuff and keep telling them that you will kill yourself.Hey,it worked with me and we have 4 cats now,so it should work.
Talk to your parents, and find out why they don't want to get a cat. Then talk and address the concerns. You may have to prove to them you can handle the responsibility.

Are you willing to feed it, housebreak it, clean its litterbox daily, and play with it? Also, who is going to pay for the food and vet bills? Cats, while they can be low maintenance, can be very expensive
Listen first of all it's only exspensive in the beginning with a kitten because they need to get their shots and get fixed and maybe declawed otherwise they aren't exspensive. You can tell your parents you can adopt an adult cat then get her a checkup maybe a shot or two then you only have to take the cat to the vet again if he/she gets sick, there is no reason for an annual checkup. Food make sure she eats dry food it's cheaper, water and change the litterbox every 3 to 5 days if it's only one cat. There aren't any problems with cats and they are so much easier to care for then dogs, they are missing out on the joys of having a cat.
You like cats.Oh! thats great.Me 2 love them.Very cute right?.

I have a Idea to agree your parents. You do one thing before buying a cat, should have Rats at your home.I think you got the point. You leave some rats into your Home.So thats your parents would accept to have a Cat.
Animals are a lot of responsibility. You have to be able to provide food and vet care. If your parents feel like they can not provide this they should not get you a cat. Maybe later on they will be able to provide the cat with the proper care and get you one. If not when you graduate and move out on your own and able to provide the proper care you can get all the cats you want.
Hi, I agree with Cutie pie. Cats are much easier to care for than dogs, since hey are very independent animals and like doing their own thing.

Although I am not sure what problems your parents are referring to, I must say that they must take the advantages also into account when making a decision like this. For example it is a great way to teach children responsibility and you can point this out to them. Pets are also great companions and teaches us to respect and care for all living creatures.

And who knows, maybe in the end everyone (including your parents) will love to have a cat in the house. After all they can be fun.

But if they still say no, don't worry. One day you'll be able to have as many cats as you wants and in the mean time you can always visit your friends who has cats.

Good luck.
