How can i convince my parents to get me a laptop?

I am in 9th grade and I really really really want a laptop. and my parents are saying wait till college. but i have the money!

explain them the purpose of the laptop, on how will it help you on your studies. explain every benefits you can get when you have one. and just dont forget to say that you will not reduce you time in studying, use studies as the main purpose of laptop.How can i convince my parents to get me a laptop?
Well, if you already have a computer, your parents are probably thinking that you will be fine. But if you don't then maybe you could say that the work that you would do on it is for school. Maybe they think you will spend too much time on it. Well you could compromise then. You could set up a schedule when you can be on the computer and when you can't be on it. That way your parents make sure you are not spending too much time on it. Or maybe when you have to go somewhere, you could bring your computer which makes it very convenient. Maybe they think that you would be wasting your money on something you might already have. They would have a point there, but you could say that you would use it in the future for different classes that required laptops. You must listen to where they think things might go wrong and then find a way to fix it.
Tell them its for studying and for research, also say '; if i get a laptop i wont hog the computer as much.
don't get one..seriously wait till college, because by the time you get there and actually need one, yours will be kinda out of date..
