What is the psychological term for children that are shadow figures of parents?

What is it called when a child grows into or develops the personality of their parent, either by accident or intentionally? The trait may be externalized, but doesn't have to be. And not genetically or heretically, but a characteristic that can be controlled.What is the psychological term for children that are shadow figures of parents?
