How to persuade my parents into letting me get a dog?

I really want a dog but my parents say no because they don;t want another responsibility other than my cat. That's what I think anywayHow to persuade my parents into letting me get a dog?
Because when a kid wants something like a dog they might SAY they will feed it and care for it and all this stuff, but they don't.

Mom and dad end up feeding it (and paying for it) and picking up the poop and cleaning the barf and dealing with the chewing and peeing and all the fun stuff a dog brings to the house.

You are correct that a cat is enough pet hassle for your parents. If they choose to get a dog in the future, or begin to consider the idea, then yeah get your voice in there and help that along. But to just get a dog because you want one is probably too much to ask.

Isn't the cat any fun?How to persuade my parents into letting me get a dog?
ok i have the correct way to do this ! if you asked them and they said no then you have to convince them that you will take full responsibility you need to start helping out a lot more by cleaning your room and just stuff to make you more responsible !! Then when the time is right you can start talking they probally say no because they dont have the money # 1 # 2 they probally think you wont take responsibility
Hmm, well I'm 16 and convinced my parents to let me get 2 of my own dogs. I even got them as they were puppies. I cant exactly remember how I convinced them though. I think it was just a lot of calm discussion. Also, its plain and simple that you have to show your responsibility to them. Maybe you can make some kind of deal. Like, getting straight A's for the quarter or SOMETHING. Idk. But when I got my first puppy I REALLY DID take care of her and cleaned up after her. I even would wake up at 5:30 every morning to let her out. I also cleaned up every single accident she had in the house. My parents never had to get within 3 feet of her pee or poo. haha. So yeah, once I showed my responsibility for that puppy, my parents let me adopt another puppy about a year later.

In conclusion, its all about being mature and displaying respect and responsibility to your fajah and majah. haha.

Good luck! I love my doggies!
It's true, It is allot of responsibility to have any kind of an animal.Walking the dog for exercise, feed and water, allot of love an attention, money to keep the dog up and for emergencies, attention, grooming, attention鈥?cleaning up after the dog when he/she has a mistake and having patience.
well if you behave good and are responsible then i'll bet you you'll get one.
tell them you hear weird nosies at night.
