How come we're always telling women that motherhood and being a parent is the most important job in the?

world? If it is, HOW COME men aren't all over that, wanting the most important job int he world? How come noone really tells them its their most important job?How come we're always telling women that motherhood and being a parent is the most important job in the?
Who is we? You got a mouse in your pocket? Ive never told anyone that. Ive never heard anyone tell anyone else that. How come we're always telling women that motherhood and being a parent is the most important job in the?
People say that to make women want to stay home and make babies. It makes them feel good about themselves. Some women are actually happy doing this, so I don't see a problem with it in those cases.

The problem comes when this line is used to convince women who would be miserable staying home to do so anyway. At that point it becomes manipulative and ridiculous. A lot of women also use this line to justify giving up a satisfying career for the less-than-satisfying (to them) job of raising children.

And as a childfree person, I see it as a slap in the face to women who have chosen not to have children. Does that mean we're not important? I just wonder how bad it must make infertile women who want kids feel! It really is a ridiculous thing to say.
As far as I am aware, nobody tells women any such thing. Modern society seems to be obsessed with work, and far from telling women that motherhood is important, it tells them that they should be out at work earning money. I've never heard anyone say that motherhood is an important job, most people don't think it's a job at all.

personally, I think being at home with the kids beats working hands down, but most women prefer to be out at work. I find this odd, but it doesn't really bother me. So long as I can do what I like, I don't much care what other women do.
To what? Be a father? Who is telling men differently that their job is not important it usually isn't a son or daughter unless bothered by a feminist. So, unless a feminist tells a man that it isn't by using the children it does not occur. Feminists are both men and women but not all men and women.
MEN DON';T INCUBATE BABIES! Men also can't be mothers. Men can't breast feed infants either. Men's job as far as that's concerned takes about an hour.

So you are saying that women shouldn't bother getting pregnant and taking care of their children. Let's see if we had it your way, there will be no humans in about 80 years. It's biological in nature and men are not doting, breast feeding women. Would you like men to become pregnant and give birth? Sorry, they would be women then. If you don't like being a woman, you can always get a sex change operation.
Basically, it's a way to try to shame women who have other interests and goals in their lives into having children whether they want them or not. When I hear people say that, it really means that being a mother isn't the most important job for a woman but that it's the only job she should have. That's what it really means.
WELL REALLY NO RIGHT ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION. BUT I AM A MAN AND I BELEIVE THERE IS NO LOVE OR BOND STRONGER THEN A MOTHERS BOND AND I LOVE MY DAUGHTER SO MUCH ITS NUTS AND IM NOT SAYING I DONT LOVE HER A LOT BC I DO LOVE HER MORE THEN ANYTHING BUT MY WIFE LOVE IS SO BIG I CANT IMAGINE AND THE SAID THING IS NOT TO KNOCK ON MEN BC THERE ARE SINGLE MEN THAT TAKE CARE OF THERE KIDS AND DO A GREAT JOB AT IT. BUT IN MOST CASES THE MAN WILL BE THE SORRY *** AND LEAVE THE FAMILY IN THE TIME OF NEED. ALSO I THINK MEN PROVIDE THE HOUSE (MONEY) AND WOMEN PROVIDE THE HOME (LOVE) NOT TO SAY THAT BOTH DONT CONTRIBUTE TO THE MONEY AND LOVE LOL GOOD LUCK ON FINDING THE ANSWER YOU WANT
Mother's are telling everyone that, not the other way around. This is to convince people that being a mother is important, and to convince themselves of it, too.
Because no matter how hard a man tries, he can never come close to being the kind of parent a woman can, because a man cannot become pregnant, birth a child, or nurse it.
My fiance says that he thinks that the most important job in the world is to be a parent. Other parents who doesn't agree must be stupid!
Then it must be performed with distinction; no slackers need apply.
not sure.

being a parent is a pretty cool thing, and i don't know why some men feel like its some kind of shackle.
It is equally as important as having a career. Don't say we...
Meagan's aaaall over this one. Give her best answer.
dont generalize.
